Overview: The osmolality urine test measures the concentration of chemicals in urine. This test helps check your body's water balance and urine concentration. Urine osmolality is a more exact measurement of urine concentration than the urine specific gravity test.

Specimen Preparation: Transfer 1 mL aliquot from a well-mixed urine to Cordon Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.5 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature: Frozen.
Unacceptable Conditions: Urine collected with preservatives.
Stability: Ambient: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 6 months
